Pottery

Workshop Saturday 21 September from 10am

At the Creative Corner, All Saints Church.

Pottery with Jayne Stansfeld.

Come and try your hand and get creative! All ages, all abilities welcome.

Jayne is a qualified art teacher and has a degree in pottery and lots of experience working in adventure play and also ran a community and youth pottery, she also teaches and makes textiles.

You will have an opportunity to try your hand at pottery. Having a short "have a go at making a pot" one at a time on the wheel or hand-modelling. We won't be firing the pots in a kiln this time, it's just for fun. People will be able take their work to dry or paint at home. So a bag, or cardboard box would be useful.

Activity is suitable for people from about 6 years upwards but can be messy, so do wear old things.

It is unsuitable for people with limited upper body movement, or who may have skin allergies to clay.

Please do not wear rings or jewellery and long hair must be tied back.

There will be a small charge towards cost of materials.

Booking for the wheel will be timed slots on a first come first served basis.
